DescriptionEight day Longcase clock by Sam Hill of Sheffield.In Oak and mahogany case with swan necked pediment .The dial by Osbourne or Wilson of Birmingham is very attractive and in excellent condition with origanal steel hands .The case is also supplied with three very attractive ball and spire finials not shown in the photograph.The eight day movement is excellant condition haveing been recently serviced .
Sam Hill is a very well thought of maker and many examples of his work are known to survive.He was the maker of both brass and painted dialed clocks most of wich seem to be of the round dial variety always with no date feature.
