Ref. C13 Longcase. A good quality mahogany longcase clock, the domed hood with unusual ring turned palisters flank the painted arched dial. This clock has subsidiary seconds dial and rolling date with twin winding holes for the eight day striking movement. The fine rich mahogany case is in excellent condition housing the fully overhauled movement which carries a 24 month guarantee. Signed Vincent of Weybridge and dated 1830.

A 6in brass hook and spike alarm clock. The 6in dial is engraved Whitehurst Derby .A very attractive small clock made by a very collected family of clock makers who were working in the 17th and 18th century .This example would date from around 1830 and would be made by John Whitehurst III. This clock is numbered 5094 on the rear of the back plate.

The Donisthorpe family of Leicestershire have a long history of making many fine clock .Most clocks are by Joseph who originally worked in Normanton-le-Heath where he trained the very famious clock maker Samuel Deacon. This all oak clock c1780 in very fine condition with nice honey colour .With flat top and long trunk . The 12in brass dial is well made as is the typical designed donisthorpe movement that is 30 hour running and rope winding.The movement has been serviced and is in very good condition. This is a lovely clock by a very fine country maker.

A fine 8 day longcase clock by Samuel Collier of Eccles .The very attractive dial is by James Wilson of Birmingham and steel hands are original.Good eight day movement having been serviced in 2008. The Oak and mahogany case is very typical North West in style and a very good colour and in excellent condition .Above the dial is a glass verre eglomise panel which is finished off with a swan necked pediment . Samuel Collier was born in 1750 at Gatley, and worked as a clock maker in Eccles until his death in 1816. He comes from a clock making family and many examples of their work is known.

A very nice 30 hour clock by William Porthouse of Penrith (Cumberland)housed in oak case with cantered cornerd base, long door with shaped top and seperate hood pillars with pillars to the rear. The very fine 30 hour movement has very distinctive balauster pillars and the 12 inch dial is beautifully engraved with half hour marks and box calendar. William porthouse was born in 1706 and came to Penrith in 1715 .He was working from about 1745 and died in 1790.
