You would be hard pressed to find a more industrial looking clock than this. It looks as though it could have come from a East German Steel Foundry. It has a grainy grey metal case and a 24hr arabic numeral dial with quite unusual hand style. We have never had another clock by this maker Burk who's name appears on the parchment dial.

A fine example of a late 18th Century longcase clock signed 'Dugmore of Derby' on the round brass dial. This is an 8 day clock, weight driven and striking hourly on a bell. The oak case is well proportioned with a swan neck pediment surmounted with a wooden finial, a long trunk door and a most unusual carved brass moulding. The clock is fully overhauled and the movement and case in superb condition. The clockcomes with an expertise on its originality in all material respects.
