A good quailty, 19th century Black Forest carved pen & ink stand. This antique desk piece is made of limewood and featuers two carved partridges, which open to reveal an oval storage compartment, ideal for stamps. The beautifully hand carved flowers and leaves are in very good condition, just slight nibbles to the edge of two leaves. The finish/patina is original. A unique Christmas present.

An unusual late 19th century brass ink well stand. The stand is made in the shape of a pair of winged dragon candlesticks on either side of a holder in which sits a prism cut glass square ink well. The ink well has a facet cut circular lid held in a hinged brass collar. Both the stand and the ink well are in a good condition.
