This is a spelter footballer on a marble base. It is probably deco and these were made up to the 1950s/60s. Probably French but actually purchased in Germany.

A rare pair of Spelter soldier figures from the 19th century. In cast metal, I have seen them described as soldiers from the renaissance era. Some damage to fingers on one figure and a nice, barely noticable repair to rejoin the out stretched arm
