Waltham Crescent St (railroad) full hunter watch
An antique Waltham Crescent Street (railroad grade) full hunter pocket watch.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working well and keeping good time to within around five minutes over 24 hours. The movement has 15 rubies in gold settings, a patent regulator and a Breguet hairspring. The movement is fully signed and the serial number of 6003550 dates the watch back to 1893/94. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 53mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold filled and it is beautifully detailed on both the front and back… the front of the case has a previous owner’s name, J Preece.
The winding stem pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a plastic lens which is in good condition.
The white double-sunk enamel dial has a few hairline cracks in the number ring, and one to the centre, but they are fairly faint. The hour and minute hands are lever set.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box. ALL PRICES INCLUDE UK POSTAGE.
