Vintage walnut 1930s Queen Anne double bed
This is a magnificent standard double bed. It dates to the 1930s - 1950s and the quality is just wonderful. Look at the carved cabriole legs. Look at the shape of the 'horns'. Look at the richness of the burr walnut. The bed is in the Queen Anne style of the day and it was made to impress. It is very opulent looking.
The bed is in wonderful vintage condition. ( I have the rest of the bedroom suite coming up for sale over the next couple of weeks. I am listing a pair of matching single beds this week so do keep a look out.)
What I love about this design of bed is that it is very airy without a footboard closing you in and at the same time it looks very impressive and elegant with the rich wood and stylised 'horns'. This bed would look very good in a guest bedroom furnished in Art Deco or antique.
The bed split for moving.
As with all rail beds you will need to get slats cut to form a base on to which you can put your mattress. These sit on the iron rails that come with the bed. You can get these slats from any builders merchants as well as all the advise you will need. They are inexpensive.
The bed takes a standard double mattress 54 inches wide and 76 inches long. The headboard is 53 inches high and the footboard is 27 inches high.

If you require a courier to deliver, do not despair as it is a lot easier to arrange than you would imagine and probably a lot cheaper as well. Most couriers cover most parts of the country on a three week cycle. Once you have booked with them they will get in touch with me directly for collection so you only need concern yourself with the delivery date to you.
You pay the couriers for their service on delivery.
