This is a good quality Vintage Silver Plated 3 Piece Tea Set comprising of a teapot, a milk jug and a sugar bowl. All three pieces have a scalloped rim and a c-shaped handle. The handle and finial of the teapot are made of bakelite and remain cool to the touch when the contents of the pot are hot.

There is no makers' mark on the tea set, they are simply stamped E.P.N.S for electroplated nickel silver, ie silver plate. This makes it hard to give an exact date but we believe they are most likely post war from the period 1950s to 1970s. They could be from the 1930s but this seems less likely.

Condition is very good with no dings or dents and the only issue is a small amount of plate loss to the inside base of the sugar bowl, most probably caused by teaspoons scraping against the base when spooning out sugar. The inside of the teapot is nice and clean and still perfectly suitable for brewing up a good cuppa! Please make sure to view all the photographs.

The teapot is 27cm / 10.5" long from spout to handle, 13.5cm / 5.25" wide across the top rim and 13.7cm / 5.4" tall to the top of the handle. The milk jug is 15.7cm / 6.25" long from lip to handle, 8.8cm / 3.5" wide across the top rim and 8.7cm / 3.5" high to the top of the handle. The sugar bowl is 18.3cm / 7.25" long from handle to handle, 10cm / 4" wide across the top rim and 8.6cm / 3.4" high to the top of the handles. The full 3 piece set weighs 806g / 28.4oz.
