Vintage Silver Plate Soup Ladle, Christofle

This is a top quality Vintage Silver Plate Soup Ladle. The ladle is in the Fiddle, Thread & Shell pattern, which in France is called Vendome-Arcantia. There are no initials or personalisation of any kind.
The soup ladle was made in France by world famous firm Christofle and dates to around the 1950s/60s. Charles Christofle established his company in Paris in 1830. In the 1840s he acquired the rights to electroplating in France from Elkington & Co. The firm became famous after receiving orders from the Emperor Napoleon III, which led to commissions from other Royal houses including the Russian Tsar, the German Kaiser and the Ottoman Sultan. Christofle remains a flagship brand in the luxury goods market today.
Condition is extremely good, with no dings or dents, no significant plate loss and just the superficial surface wear that you would expect with use and the passage of time. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
The soup ladle is 32cm / 12.6ins long and 9.3cm / 3.6ins across the bowl. It weighs 269.2g / 9.5oz.
The inside of the bowl is stamped CHRISTOFLE below their scales logo on one side and FRANCE below their chess knight logo on the other. The underside of the stem is stamped EPNS for silver plate.
Shipping in the UK is £6 by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
