Vintage Bergere 1930s Armchair Bedroom Salon
This is such a good quality chair. The chair dates to the 1930s - 1950s. It is a bergere with caned arms. The caning is perfect. Look how good the frame is on this chair. It is top quality. The chair has a wonderfully shaped and carved stretcher in the Queen Anne style to the front and even has bobbin turned stretchers to the sides and swept back legs. As befits such a quality chair, it has been expensively upholstered in rich silk damask and has a feather cushion for the back. This is beautiful.
The upholstery is in excellent condition. One minor water mark - see photo. The frame is solid and the caning perfect.
This is a beautiful chair for a a pretty bedroom setting or in a principal room as an occasional chair. It is ready to go straight in to your home.
The armchair seat is 16 inches high and the back is 32 inches high. The chair is 26 inches deep and it is 30 inches wide from outside arm to outside arm.
