We believe that the chair is made of walnut, but can't be sure.
Lovely colour, age, patina and charm.
Solid and strong with no loose joints.
The seat is not new, having wear and marks....it is of the drop in type, so relatively easy to recover.
Overall maximum dimensions
45cmW x 53cmD x 88cmH (45cmH seat when sat on).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. We have not inspected beneath the upholstery. There are quite a few historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure...but the chair is still strong.
