Victorian Walnut Davenport Desk
A nice quality Victorian burr walnut davenport/writing desk having a lovely figured walnut front panel with carved and scroll supports. To the right-hand side of the davenport are four opening drawers and to the left are four dummy drawers. The top opens to reveal a stationary compartment with a glass inkwell. The slope top has its original cream tooled leather writing surface which lifts to reveal a birds eye maple storage compartment with a further two drawers. The davenport stands on castors. Knee-hole Height: 60cm circa 1850
