Fine quality early Victorian solid carved rosewood nursing chair. The chair with carved cabriole front legs and nicely curved swept back, back legs. Beautifully carved and designed high back of great detail. The chair with original needlework seat cover. All the joints are tight and the chair is in very good condition. There are a couple of small strengthening pieces added to the back of the back as can be seen in the last photo but there are very small and can't be seen from the front.

The chair retains its original polish and patination.

SIZE 42" high overall. 19" across the front. 18" deep. The seat height from the ground is 15".
