Victorian Silver Pickle Fork, Birmingham, 1899

This is a high quality late Victorian Sterling Silver Pickle Fork with beautiful engraved decoration down the length of the stem. The fork is made in Birmingham by well-known silversmiths Robert Pringle & Sons in a good gauge of silver and dates to 1899. There is a blank cartouche at the top of the stem. The hallmarks, on the front of the fork, are well struck and clear to read.
The Pickle Fork is in very good condition with only the most minimal wear and tear, which is inevitable after 119 years. It is completely suitable for use with pickles today or would make a good addition to any collection. Please make sure to view all the photos.
The fork is 18.5cm long and weighs 22.0g.
The hallmarks are the lion passant for Sterling Silver, the anchor assay mark for Birmingham, the letter Z for 1899 and the RP makers mark for Robert Pringle & Sons.
