Victorian Silver Mounted Playing Cards Box


A Victorian silver mounted and leather playing cards box in the form of an eighteenth century serpentine front knife box.Decorated with applied bell flowere,leaves and ribbon ties.The interior leather lined with compartments to accommadate three packs of cards plus a forward compartment.
London circa 1890 by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co.(Later Garrards).
The actual date letter has been covered by the applied decoration.The makers' mark is that which was used between 1880 and 1898.
Generally in very good order with only the slightest wear to leather sides of box.
5,25"(13 cms) high
4.25"(11 cms) deep. You may return a purchase within 14 days for a refund if you are not happy with it,but you will have to pay the full cost of return postage/carriage.The item must be returned undamaged.
