A very interesting oil on canvas depicting the window of the entrance chamber to Queen Mary's bed chamber in Holyrood House, Edinburgh. The painting retains a description of the work on the reverse and it appears to have been copied from the work of Alexander Fraser RSA in 1888. The painting is good quality with thick competent use of the oils and is signed by the artist though it is illegible. The painting is mounted in a period gilt frame, and the whole is in very good condition. C.1890.
