Here we have this Victorian hardwood military chest.
This campaign chest would have been used by a British officer to transport his uniforms, personal items, and more valuable pieces around the Empire.
Having flush brass corners and straps to protect this chest on its journey across the reaches of the British Empire. It is easy to forget that these were loaded on wagons, lashed to the decks of ships and endure the heat and hardship of being transported around India, the Jewel in the Crown of Queen Victoria's empire.
