A handsome antique mahogany open armchair or desk chair dating from circa 1850. With elegant scrolled arms, the carved tablet shaped top-rail and carved crossbar above a drop-in seat on turned and reeded front legs. The seat has been newly recovered over the existing upholstery which is in good condition. Would make a wonderful desk chair.

Fairly solid and sturdy with wear and marks commensurate with age. Newly recovered over the existing upholstery which is in good condition.
