A magnificent antique Victorian mahogany swivel desk chair with leather seat. With shaped arms and arm-supports with a central pierced back splat under a curved top rail. With a scalloped saddle seat which revolves on the original mechanism. Standing on 4 cabriole legs with scroll feet culminating in castors (modern replacements). Newly reupholstered in a good quality soft tan coloured Italian leather. Dating from circa 1870.

Solid and sturdy. General wear and marks commensurate with age. An old mend to one of the legs and to the top of the back rail. Some old worm holes to the underside which have been treated with worm killer as a precaution.
