Victorian Hand Engraved Silver Vesta Case 1900
Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to present for sale this very pretty early 20th Century silver hallmarked antique solid silver late Victorian period vesta case/match safe.
This opulent hand engraved vesta case has an intricate foliate decoration covering both sides, and has a vacant round cartouche plus a loop ring.

Assay office: Birmingham
Material: Sterling Silver

Width: 3.5 cm
Height: 4.5 cm
Weight: 21 grams
Condition report:
In fairly good condition for its age of 122 years, with some age related dents particularly to the corners of the lid, scratches and tarnish marks, the hinged lid is slightly stiff but closes firmly and the loop ring for chain is slightly bent.
