Victorian Gothic Revival Oak Throne -fully restored
Antique Victorian Gothic Revival Oak Throne
Impressive 19th century Gothic Revival oak chair with buttoned feather squab cushion in luxurious deep red Italian-produced velvet by Swaffer. This is an imposing, highly-carved throne that boasts two Gothic roaring tigers enough to strike fear into faint hearts!
This piece has been fully rebuilt, re-polished and re-upholstered using traditional techniques and materials. There are some sign of old worm (long deceased) predominantly on the inside of legs so barely visible. Thoroughly re-treated during our restoration.
H-43.5″/W-27″/D-23.5″/Seat to Floor 20″ (inc cushion)
We would be delighted if you wish to visit Salisbury to view any item before buying to enable you to appreciate the quality of our work. The only concession we make to traditional methods is use of a staple gun which is far kinder to old furniture frames than tacks.
