A lovely early Victorian cock fighting chair with horse shoe back rest sweeping around and extending forward, terminating in carved oak ends.
The back rest is supported by two angled carved oak rests, which continue to form the rear splaid legs which retain their original brass and porcelain castors.
The front legs are turned and fluted in oak and again retain their original brass and porcelain castors.
The chair is structurally sound, all joints are solid and the seat is nicely sprung and very comfortable, complete with the original horse hair stuffing.
