An excellent mid Victorian period burr walnut stretcher table. Very well made in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. The oval top is fitted with burr walnut veneers, has a thumb nail molding to the edge and has a wavy shaped freeze underneath. The top is supported by turned legs in solid walnut , united by an under-stretcher and decorated with carved detailing. The splayed legs terminate in their original brass castors. This charming table would fit well into a number of differed room scenarios within the modern home. Sympathetically refinished within our workshops it is now offered for sale in excellent condition with a marvelous warm colour and patina, ready to go straight into the home.
