Victorian Burr Walnut Davenport Writing Table Desk
Antique quality Victorian C1870 burr walnut davenport, writing table or desk.
This is a lovely quality davenport, that is full of age, charm and character. Solid and heavy, with no loose joints and no woodworm.
Fantastic styling, with attractive veneers.
4 active drawers (mahogany lined and slide freely) on the RHS (as viewed from the front). 4 dummy drawers on the LHS.
Old (but not original) patinated tooled leather writing surface with wear, patina and cracking. Period brass and ceramic castors (some wear as one would expect). Great maple veneered interior.
Lovely patina and colour, would look amazing in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions: 56cmW x 57cmD x 87cmH x 74<80H writing surface (63cm high knee hole).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. No keys and locks are consequently untested.
