Antique quality Victorian inlaid burr walnut davenport, writing table or desk.

This is a lovely quality davenport, that is full of age, charm and character.

Fantastic styling, with attractive matched veneers and finely detailed inlaid marquetry.

4 active drawers (mahogany lined and slide freely). 4 dummy drawers on the LHS.

Old patinated tooled leather writing surface with wear and patina. Period brass and ceramic castors (may not be original and there is some wear as one would expect). V crown markings to locks (sure sign of quality). Period, patinated ormolu brass gallery.

No woodworm.

Lovely original patina and colour (rare), would look amazing in the right location!

Overall maximum dimensions 54cmW x 57cmD x 88cmH x 71<77H writing surface.

Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. No keys and locks are consequently untested. Some stains and marks inside the drawers (to be expected). Veneer imperfections (nothing bad), as is to be expected with period burr walnut.
