Victorian Burr Walnut Davenport
This is an absolutely beautiful burr walnut davenport from the Victorian period. Due to bleaching from the sun we have had this piece totally stripped and re-polished and it could simply not look better. All the boxwood and ebony inlays are now vibrant and the walnut has come a deep rich colour. The burr maple interior is fitted with two drawers and the lidded top section still has the original interior. The old leather writing slope has also been replaced with new faithful copy and most of the locks have their keys(the top lid lock key is missing, we would usually replace this but the lock is fitted in such a way we would have to break the piece to get it out and we won't do that). A stunning writing desk just ready to enjoy.
