A charming antique Victorian Aesthetic Movement 3 tier oak whatnot or bookstand. The three shelves in a beautifully figured oak, supported by turned uprights, the spindle gallery top with turned finials. It stands on turned feet. Dating from circa 1890.

Good colour and patina. wear and marks commensurate with age. No woodworm. Structurally solid and sturdy. There is a gap to the bottom shelf (see photos) where the solid oak panel has shrunk over the years, but the shelf is still structurally sound as it is supported underneath.
