A good quality, antique, Victorian 18CT Gold Pocket Watch made by John Newlands of Kilmarnock and dating from c1870/71.
The 18 carat gold case has full English hallmarks the maker's mark "HS", "18" and "crown" for 18 carat gold, the Chester town mark and date letter "g" for 1870/71. The rear of the case with lovely decorative engraving and a central cartouche that has the original owner's initials.
The English Lever movement is in good condition and working order.
It measures 40mm in diameter. The weight is 53.2g
