Very rare and very good quality French walnut louis xv style Superking size bed with single potcupboard, circa 1910, Paris maker
These are very common beds at the smaller 4'6'' double sieze, but to find an original 6' wide x 6'6'' long ( mattress size ) is super rare and a real find! This is exceptional quality too, very impressive bed when made up...I will update the photos when we have a place to put the bed up, it has literally just arrived from France this week...
The bed is beautifully carved from top to bottom, the side rails are also superb, matching all carvings and the serpentine shape.
I have a pair of suitable bedside cabinets coming in soon, so will add them to the bed once they arrive...there is also a matching three door armoire / wardrobe with FULL hanging depth which is a 100% match, this will be added soon, though separately...please get in touch if you are interested in the suite...
