An interesting and very rare mahogany writing table from the early part of the last century with an English patent. This is quite simple on the outside but opens up to be one of the most unusual examples we have had. It is in mainly original condition, but we have re French polished the top and fitted a new tooled leather on the sliding writing surface. The rear over this surface is just superb with the many compartments and pen holders, all French polished. It is all now rewaxed and buffed and is ready to grace its new home. The splay legs are a nice detail and the crinoline stretcher that supports them is a further lovely little detail. All in all an exceptional item that will fit in almost anywhere in tidy overall condition. give us a call if you would like to discuss 01565 874075.
