Offered for sale is this superb very large Victorian oak telescopic dining table extending from 76" x 54" to 176" x 54" with four leaves, a comfortable 16/18 seater. The large D ended rectangular oak table has a moulded double edge above crisply turned and fluted supports with original large brass and ceramic castors, it has a fifth central leg which adds to its stability. The extending mechanism is in excellent condition, works works very smoothly and comes with original winding handle, . The table dates to about 1870 and is made from fine quality quarter sawn oak and is a lovely honey/ golden oak colour, it has been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character. It is in excellent showroom condition and is of superior quality and has ben made by a very skilled cabinet maker. Over the past 30 years we have sold over a thousand sets of chairs along with hundreds of dining antique tables to satisfied customers.
