Unusual Pair Of Gilt Bronze Table Lights 43cm
Very unusual pair of extremely good quality French gilt bronze table lamps or perhaps desk lamps, with moulded and frosted glass shades.
They are a neat size at 34cm total height, so they would fit nicely onto a side table or console table, but could work really well as dressing table lamps perhaps.
The gilt bronze stands are beautifully detailed scrolled leaves, beads and berries and are a good weight due to the being gilt bronze.
There is no doubt that these have always been intended for use as table lamps, certainly not converted from something else into lights. Although when made, they were certainly built by a great craftsman.
They are currently being re wired, so I will add images of them lit for you to see. Using a bronze, braided flex with an in line switch.
Great decorative pieces and certainly rare!
Measuring:
13'' or 33cm high
4'' or 10cm across the octagonal bases
