Here is an excellent quality four-poster double bed.

c1920.

This very striking bed is in a very imposing design. Made of mahogany, having a lovely domed shaped headboard, with quarter panel mahogany veneering having a wonderful feather-banded frieze, showing the excellent quality of the bed. The mahogany has beautiful figuring and is a deep, warm rich colour.

The footboard again has beautifully figured mahogany with a feather-banded frieze.

The four posts are particularly lovely, being a barley-twist design and are solid and heavy.

The bed canopy has a domed front rail, echoing the design of the headboard.

With iron side rails and a custom made pine slatted base.

Standing on sturdy square section supports.

Ready for immediate use, requires a UK standard double 4ft 6" mattress.

Very easy to assemble.

There are hooks to the underside of the bed canopy corners if you wanted to add curtains.

Completely dismantles into a headboard a footboard the barley twist posts stay attached, two side rails, the pine slats are in two sections. The canopy dismantles into four rails.

The bed will be dismantled ready for collection, we are happy to assist with loading if required.

The overall condition is very good, with minor signs of age and use, commensurate with age.
