A good quality small antique Victorian mahogany writing table or desk dating from circa 1890. In a well-figured mahogany it features and oversailing top with red faux-leather writing surface, above a single frieze drawer with original brass drop handles and it stands on elegant turned legs. A well-proportioned piece, it is a good size, offering lots of work space but not too large. In original condition with wear and marks to the top commensurate with age. With label to inside of drawer: SAMUEL CUTTER/CABINET MAKER &/ UPHOLSTERER/17 & 19 BOLD ST/ LIVERPOOL.
