Small Victorian Ladies Desk
A very good quality small & freestanding Victorian ladies mahogany pedestal desk. The top having an unusual superstructure with a drawer to each side and a bevel edged recessed mirror to the centre and finished with a good cast brass gallery. The writing surface with a replaced top quality hand dyed green leather which has gold and blind tooling. The pedestals each have 4 graduated and chaffered edge drawers with conforming centre drawer and all mahogany lined and retaining the original brass handles. The whole stands on plinth bases with hidden casters and the kneehole has carved decorative supports with fan detail. Dimensions:- Max.Height…38’’/ 97cm. Writing Height…30’’/ 81.5cm.
