A large Silver Letter Opener, made during the reign of King George III.
Hallmarked for London 1800 and has the maker`s mark - GH.
This would originally have been made as a meat skewer, but now, a letter opener / paper weight / desk ornament is much more practical.
Would make a super Christmas gift.

In excellent, little used condition with no faults.
