A very good, Swiss made, Sterling Silver, Centre Seconds Chronograph Pocket Watch in very good condition, retailed by S Smith & Son, Trafalgar Square, London.
This watch is from a collection that has been in storage for some time, it is not currently working, therefore being sold as in need of service/repair.
The plain silver case is marked with the sponsor's mark "GS" for Stockwell & Co (George Stockwell) of Finsbury Street, London, the ".925" mark for sterling silver, the London town import mark and date letter "n" 1928/29. The case also has the serial number 59428. The case is in very good condition.
The white enamel dial is in excellent condition. It has the hours in Roman numerals and an outer chapter marked from 25 - 300. There is a sub-seconds dial and six o'clock and a minute counter at twelve, marked from 3 - 30. It is signed by the retailer "S Smith & Son, Trafalgar Sq., London WC".
The Swiss made movement appears to be in good condition, however not currently in working order as previously stated. It is signed "Swiss Made".
The watch measures 51mm in diameter (across the case). The weight is 108.6g.
