Sheraton Style Satinwood Secretaire Bookcase
Impressive & extremely high quality antique Sheraton style Satinwood Secretaire Bookcase in excellent condition & dating from around the 1930’s period.
The top section has two astral-glazed doors & fully adjustable bookshelves inside. The top deep drawer opens up to reveal a secretaire compartment with a tooled leather writing surface, three small drawers & a row of pigeon holes. Below that are three more drawers & it sits on spayed feet. The drawers have tulip wood cross bandings & other fine inlays. The brass handles are good quality too & all the drawers seem to have solid mahogany bottoms.
It’s quite a large item, but it does separate into two sections for easy transportation.
Apparently, this item belonged to a very famous singer guitarist. However, I don’t want to drop names.
