A lovely set of four Victorian carved rosewood dining chairs. We date these chairs to the second half of the19th century.

The chairs sit on cabriole legs at the front and backward curved oblong section legs at the rear.

The chairs have carved balloon backrests and feature serpentine fronts to the seat pads.

The chairs are 32.5" (83cm) high with a backrest height of 15" (39cm) a seat height of 17.5" (44cm) a seat width of 16" (41cm) and a seat depth of 14.4" (37cm).

This lovely set of Victorian carved balloon back dining chairs remain in very good solid condition with minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There are a couple of old repairs to the back rests and some wear to the feet from past use. The seat pads have wear and marks with a few rips to the fabric. These chairs would make a lovely reupholstery project.

This remains a very stylish and elegant set of Victorian carved balloon back dining chairs which will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
