Set of 6 William IV Victorian dining chairs carved
Antique set of 6 William IV / early Victorian carved mahogany and show wood dining chairs.
A great rare find and very decorative.
Sought after inverted tulip and melon fluted legs, plus amazing carved backs.....a very high spec expensive chair.
Wonderful warm patinated mellow brown colour.
Date from the first half of the 19th Century.
Solid, very heavy and strong with no loose joints.
Good new reupholstery in a heavy weight upholstery fabric, with a natural, light oatmeal colour.
Overall maximum dimensions
47cmW x 51cmD x 88cmH (48cmH seat when sat on).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. Some historic extinct woodworm holes, treated for good measure.
