Antique set of 6 Victorian 19C mahogany bar back dining chairs.
Date from the Victorian period or possibly a little earlier.
A great rare find, with a lovely colour, age, patina and charm.
Solid chairs, with no loose joints.
Sought after style of dining chair.
The seat upholstery is old, worn and marked, however the drop in seats would be easy to recover (we would be happy to do this for £20 per chair in a customer's fabric).
Overall maximum dimensions
Chair 45cmW x 47cmD x 89cmH (45cmH seat when sat on).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture of this age. We have not inspected beneath the upholstery. The chairs have had historic repairs as you would expect...but all is good and solid now. A few historic woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure.
