Antique set of 4 Georgian Regency mahogany and fruitwood dining chairs.

A great rare find, with a simple classic design and full of charm. The very best age and patina.

Solid, heavy and strong, with no loose joints.

Overall maximum dimensions 44cmW x 43cmD x 83cmH (approx. 43cmH shaped seat).

Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, splits, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique elm antique furniture of this age. Just a few extinct woodworm holes, that have been treated for good measure and the odd historical structural repair (all now good and as to be expected with period chairs). Seats have been strengthened with the addition of thin plywood to the underside (a common treatment for wooden seats, that ties the pieces of the shaped seats together).
