A nice antique, Edwardian Gentleman's Silver Pocket Watch by a Scottish maker, Francis E Rutherford of Hawick.
The silver case has full English hallmarks, the Leopard's Head London town mark, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the maker's mark "JW" and date letter "g" for 1902/03. The case has the engraved initials of the original owner on the rear cover (see photo).
The three quarter plate, jewelled, keyless lever movement is signed by the maker "F E Rutherford, Hawick".
