It's always hard to capture the elegance of these highly sought-after engine-turned silver frames, I have taken some close-ups to magnify the very smart and subtle decoration.
Even better is that this is a sterling silver frame made and assayed at the Edinburgh office in 1924. The maker / retailer stamp can also be seen on the underside "Brook & Son, 87 George St., Edinburgh".
An impressive large size measuring 10 3/4" x 7 1/2" with a glazed aperture measuring 9" x 6 3/4". Superb condition with an Oak backing and folding easel stand.
