It doesn't get much better! - This is an adorable 1940's rare Stratton Compact. The shape known as a SLAB, is not common and impossible to find in this sort of order. Carefully preserved in its original pouchette & box. The top is gorgeous, a hand painted enamel depicting a trio of ducks on the river water - gorgeous, no damage is present, the enamel is starting to show minor crazing commensurate with age (see supersized pics), but does not detract and I mention for accuracy. All clasps and hinges perfect, opening to reveal a beautiful interior, signed mirror Stratton with patent numbers and foreign patents pending, made in England. A there is no puff, an original fitted sifter and box are all present. Sure to delight the most discerning of collectors.
