Rare G.Graham London Verge 1780 H.Nelson Portrait

Rare George Graham London Verge Movement c.1780 – Admiral Nelson Engraved Medalion” with key
This finely crafted verge movement, signed by George Graham of London, dates to circa 1780 and represents the exceptional precision and artistry associated with the Graham workshop. Graham (1673–1751) was one of England’s most celebrated horologists, a Fellow of the Royal Society, and an important innovator in 18th-century timekeeping. The movement features ornate pierced and engraved balance cock work, typical of high-quality London production. At the centre is a finely engraved portrait medallion depicting Horatio Nelson, the legendary British admiral. Pieces combining mechanical excellence with patriotic decoration such as this are highly sought after by collectors of early English pocket watches.
Please note this movement has nothing missing but is currently not working.
