A rare opportunity to acquire an item from Royal Windsor Castle. This good quality mahogany sideboard/side cabinet is stamped with Victorian marks - VR with crown and the date 1866, N.T. (Norman Tower, now the Governor’s residence) ROOM 12 (See photo). All verified by “The Royal Collection Trust” St James’s Palace. London.
This 3 door cabinet has a solid mahogany, slightly overhanging top and cock beaded frieze. The 3 panelled doors veneered in top quality figured mahogany and turned pulls. The side stiles with applied mouldings and the whole standing on turned and gadrooned feet with sunken brass castors. The interior with mahogany faced shelves. With later working brass locks and keys.
A rare piece of antique furniture in A1 condition.
