Queen Anne Burr Walnut Serpentine Front Desk
A lovely burr walnut desk. We date this desk to the early 20th century.
The desk sits on four carved Queen Anne legs with pad feet and comes as a single section.
The main table consists of a wide kneehole drawer flanked by two small drawers to each side. All the drawer fronts have been veneered with well matched finely figured burr walnut. The drawers are fitted with decorative brass drop handles mounted on pierced backplates.
The table top and drawers have been veneered with well matched finely figured burr walnut. There is a newly fitted dark gold leather writing surface.
The desk has a height of 31" (79cm), a width of 44" (112cm) and a depth of 24" (61cm).
This lovely burr walnut desk remains in a good solid condition. There is some minor wear to some of the edges from past use.
This remains a very stylish and elegant burr walnut desk which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
