A large and good quality 19th Century mahogany pedestal partners desk. The rectangular cross banded and moulded edge top having a top quality inset hand dyed black leather writing surface with blind and gold tooling. One side having 9 graduated drawers with applied mouldings and retaining the original brass ring handles the reverse having 3 conforming drawers and 2 cupboards which open to shelved interiors. The pedestals having panelled sides with reeded stiles and the whole raised on off set plinth bases with hidden castors below. This desk is wonderfull condition, with no splits to the pedestals, mahogany lined throughout and with working Hobbs & Co. brass locks and keys. Ready for use in the home or office.
