A high quality triple cased verge pocket watch by noted maker Edward Prior of London. An outer tortoiseshell/horn silver pique studded case in excellent condition. The second inner case in silver with detailed edged decoration. The inner plain watch case with fine hands and dial made for the Turkish export market which Prior was known for. A fine quality English verge mechanism with pierced backcock and pillars. Signed Edward Prior and numbered 73077. London hallmarks for 1860. Overall outer case width 55mm.

Edward Prior of London is noted as a maker of repute and worked from 1800-1868.
